Dans la s\u00e9rie Il y a tout juste 10 ans<\/em><\/strong><\/a> –\u00a0Archive Qu\u00e9bec, 11 ao\u00fbt 2009.<\/p>\n

Le bleuet dans la r\u00e9gion du Lac Saint-Jean est plus qu’un fruit, c’est une richesse, une identit\u00e9, presque un concept.
\nD’abord, rien \u00e0 voir avec la myrtille europ\u00e9enne, quoi que puissent en dire tous les biologistes, c’est \u00e9vident puisque la myrtille, elle, n’est qu’un vulgaire fruit. Ici, le bleuet devient sauvage ou cultiv\u00e9, son go\u00fbt varie en finesse, en sucre, en acidit\u00e9. \u00c0 la r\u00e9flexion, on ne pourrait le comparer qu’au vin !<\/p>\n

De plus, chaque natif du lac na\u00eet bleuet, c’est un ensemble de valeurs, de mode de vie, c’est un accent, c’est une culture pour tout dire.\u00a0Et le bleuet n’est pas sectaire : un immigrant qui s’assimile devient lui aussi un bleuet.<\/p>\n

Il faut dire que le bleuet est charg\u00e9 d’histoire, une de ces histoires riches en drame humain, en h\u00e9ro\u00efsme et en trag\u00e9die : le bleuet est l’or bleu n\u00e9 des ravages d’un terrible incendie en 1870. Sur les cendres d\u00e9sol\u00e9es s’est mis \u00e0 pousser en grandes quantit\u00e9s le bleuet, et ce miracle de la nature a offert une consolation \u00e0 la r\u00e9gion, en m\u00eame temps que renomm\u00e9e et d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique.<\/p>\n

Alors chaque \u00e9t\u00e9 des hordes de cueilleurs envahissent collines et for\u00eats, paniers \u00e0 la main – ou m\u00eame mat\u00e9riel sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9 – \u00e0 la recherche du petit fruit savoureux, pour le consommer ou le revendre.
